Mayku Multiplier Pressure Former information

The Mayku Multiplier is a large format desktop pressure former designed to increase thermoforming capacity while still giving laboratories flexibility in how they produce individual appliances. For orthodontic labs, one of its most interesting features is the ability to work in two different production formats. The full size system uses a 428 mm circular sheet for higher volume production, while the included 7 Shot Reducing Plate allows a lab to form as many as seven appliances at one time using standard 120 mm or 125 mm round material. This means a laboratory can continue using many of the thermoforming materials it already purchases rather than being locked into a proprietary material system.

Mayku states that the full 428 mm format can accommodate up to 20 appliances in a single pull, depending on appliance and model size. The 7 Shot configuration can run from one to seven standard sheets at a time, making it particularly interesting for labs that want additional capacity without completely changing their existing material workflow.
Material control is another major part of the Multiplier design. During heating, Mayku's auto leveling system is designed to keep the thermoforming sheet flat rather than allowing it to sag excessively. An integrated temperature sensor continuously monitors the material as it approaches its programmed forming temperature. According to Mayku, this combination is intended to provide more consistent material distribution and repeatable forming from cycle to cycle.
The Multiplier also uses saved material profiles. Factory profiles are available for supported materials and Custom Mode allows the operator to create, save and reuse profiles for third party materials. Mayku states that the machine is compatible with thermoformable materials beyond its own branded sheets, so labs can continue working with PETG, EVA and other compatible materials they already use.
A built in compressor means the Multiplier does not require a separate shop air system for normal operation. The internal compressor operates at approximately 150 psi and 2 CFM, while actual forming pressure is adjustable up to 60 psi / 4 bar. The Dental version also includes an air out connection.
The Multiplier accepts 100 to 240 volt power and automatically detects the supplied voltage. In a U.S. laboratory it can operate from a 120 volt supply, with Mayku specifying a maximum power consumption of 1600 watts and approximately 12 amps at 120 volts.

The Mayku Multiplier is currently undergoing hands on testing at OLP in Lodi, CA. Testing is approximately 25% complete. Updated August 2026.

Using our exclusive ProveIt Method, we are testing the Multiplier for the factors that matter most in an orthodontic lab, including consistency, adaptation, repeatability, cycle time, workflow and finished appliance quality. Results will be updated as testing progresses.

Do I get the same manufacturer warranty if I buy through OLS?

Yes. When you purchase equipment through Orthodontic Lab Solutions, the original manufacturer warranty remains in place. We work directly with the manufacturers and maintain relationships with the companies whose equipment we offer.

In many cases, we can also help act as a point of contact if a warranty or service issue comes up. Instead of being left to figure out who to call, we can help connect you with the appropriate manufacturer and assist with the process when possible.

Depending on the manufacturer and the equipment, extended warranty options may also be available through OLS. We can help you understand the available coverage before you purchase so you know exactly what is included.

You are buying the same equipment with the same manufacturer warranty, with the added benefit of having OLS in your corner before, during and after the sale.

Can you use your own thermoforming materials?

Yes. Mayku states that the Multiplier can use compatible third-party thermoforming materials through Custom Mode. For dental workflows, the 7 Shot plate accepts standard 120 mm and 125 mm round blanks, while the full format uses 428 mm blanks. We have also created a custom profile for Keystone material during our testing and will continue evaluating other orthodontic materials.

Bottom line: Open material compatibility is one of the Multiplier’s most useful workflow advantages.

Does it require an external air compressor?

No. The Multiplier has a built-in compressor and internal air tanks, so normal forming does not require external shop air or additional plumbing. Mayku also provides a rear EURO quick-disconnect air outlet that can power compatible pneumatic accessories.

Bottom line: No external compressor means a cleaner and simpler installation.

Is the interface easy to learn?

We have found the interface clean and straightforward. The LCD walks the operator through material selection, heating, forming and maintenance. Creating custom profiles takes more time because temperature, pressure and sheet leveling need to be dialed in, but saved profiles can then be reused.

Bottom line: The basic controls are easy to learn; custom material profiles take more experience as you build them.

Is the 7 Shot Plate included?

Yes. Mayku currently lists the 7 Shot Reducing Plate as part of the Dental Bundle. It allows one to seven standard 120 mm or 125 mm round blanks to be used instead of the full 428 mm sheet.

Bottom line: The included 7 Shot plate adds flexibility for smaller production runs and lets many labs keep using familiar sheet sizes.

How much bench space does it require?

The machine measures approximately 23.0 in long × 20.3 in wide × 16.5 in high with the handles and weighs about 125.7 lb unboxed. It is larger and heavier than a traditional single-model pressure former, so plan the bench location before delivery and leave working room around it for loading sheets and removing finished pulls.

Bottom line: Prepare the workspace before delivery and use two people for lifting.

How much maintenance is required?

Routine maintenance is mostly cleaning and following the machine’s maintenance prompts. Mayku recommends cleaning the chamber seal weekly, keeping the mesh, forming bed, heat sensor and reflector clean, draining the internal air tanks every few months and lubricating the rails with the recommended lithium-based lubricant if they become dry or noisy.

As our long-term test continues, we will report how the machine holds up over repeated orthodontic production cycles.

Bottom line: Maintenance is straightforward, but the air tanks and heating system do need regular attention.

Can I finance the machine?

Financing may be available for qualified buyers. Low or no money down options may be available through Orthodontic Lab Solutions depending on approval and current lending programs.

Bottom line: Ask about current financing options when requesting a quote.

Where is it manufactured?

Mayku is a United Kingdom based company in London. Our unit shipped from the U.S. distribution center in Memphis, Tennessee.
